About the Position: This position is located in the Maneuver CDID. The Maneuver CDID determines and develops future force capabilities across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership Development, Personnel, Facilities and Policies (DOTMLPF-P), resulting in a trained and ready maneuver force fully integrated into the Army, Combined and Joint Warfighter to maintain the battlefield primacy of our Soldiers and the formations in which they fight.

Duties

Serves as the office manager providing administrative support duties for a the Admin Support Office. Assists the ASO Chief in maintaining and monitoring the ASO Budget/Travel programs. Performs a variety of administrative processes and functions for the MCDID office such as: ASO’s supply, personnel (military and civilian), information/physical security, training programs and contract oversight and coordination. Provides knowledge of travel regulations and procedures to assist personnel with travel orders, travel vouchers, record keeping, passport applications and host nation authorization documents. Prepares, reviews, updates, and records a variety of administrative processes. Manages the ASO’s Government Travel Card Program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of clerical and administrative support functions sufficient to manage functions such as office management, project assistance, travel, supply, physical security, personnel administration, training and time and attendance; 2) Coordinating office work to include advising clerical personnel in subordinate offices on new procedures or regulations; and 3) Applying knowledge of travel regulations and procedures to assist personnel with travel orders, travel vouchers, record keeping, passport applications and host nation authorization documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Typing Proficiency Requirement: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Organizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
