The Office of Enforcement Operations (OEO) provides investigative & prosecutorial support, legal advice, and statutorily required review and approval in almost 40 distinct subject areas. OEO oversees the use of the most sophisticated investigative tools of the federal government, including electronic surveillance, the Federal Witness Security Program, media subpoenas, and witness immunity requests. OEO provides legal advice to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies on these programs.
Duties
As a Case Analyst, your responsibilities may include:
Preparing recommendations regarding the approval or denial of prisoner-witnesses and relocated witnesses and family members into the Federal Witness Security Program;
Acting as a liaison on witness security and family member protection issues to other agencies;
Reviewing files, reports, databases, etc., on the utilization of programs by United States Attorney's Offices or federal investigative agencies; and
Assisting or consulting with senior analysts to provide policy advice.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must have one of the following: One year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: serving as a liaison to outside agencies or the public; drafting memorandums and preparing documentation on assigned program areas for leadership; reviewing and responding to requests from law enforcement and investigative agencies; and conducting training for internal and external associates.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
