You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships)/Project Performance Analyst in the Operations Department, Code 300.2 of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will work as a member of the Project Team providing support with data and reports. You will review, analyze and monitor an availability's cost and schedule data and verify data through communication with project managers. You will develop reports and make recommendations for correction of specific performance issues. You will prepare cost and schedule reports.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously when in an industrial area or onboard ships.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Work requires the ability to lift/carry items weighing 20 pounds. Work also includes walking, bending, stooping and climbing stairs and ladders.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying production control principles, techniques and methodology to assist with preparing reports and analyzing cost and schedule data in support of ship or submarine repair or overhaul projects. For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Analyzing, monitoring and maintaining cost and schedule data and identifying discrepancies to recommend corrective action in support of ship or submarine repair or overhaul projects.
