This National Guard position is for a PUBLIC HEALTH TECHNICIAN-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1723000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard.
Duties
As a PUBLIC HEALTH TECHNICIAN-TITLE 32, GS-0640-8, you will manage the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health mandated occupational health education and training programs and Department of Defense Instruction. Determine educational/training requirements for employees. Develop and conduct occupational health education training relative to both general and specific hazards. Set up surveys, provides education, tracks and develop training, research requirements and provide coordination to ensure programs are viable. Manage the OSHA and AFOSH mandated occupational health medical surveillance program. Analyze the results of Bioenvironmental Engineering Industrial Hygiene Surveys, and determine the need for employee occupational health medical examinations. Update and maintain the Preventive Health Assessment/Individual Medical Readiness Aerospace Services Information Management System Occupational Health database. Study, analyze and develop trends by summarizing, interpreting and managing OHME results. Perform quality insurance audits on all records. Communicate trend analysis results and make recommendations to supervisors. Evaluate industrial shops to ensure compliance with OSHA and AFOSH standards. Implement, manage and oversee the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Hearing Conservation Program. Analyze BEE Industrial Hygiene Survey data to determine exposed personnel, ensure completion of audiometric testing, review test results and recommend follow-up actions. Fit test employees with appropriate hearing protection devices. Manage the Reproductive Health Program. Manage the Bloodborne Pathogens Program (BPP). Manage the PIMR ASIMS Hospital Employee Health Program database. Determine immunization and testing requirements and duty limitations for High-Risk and/or Exposure-Prone personnel. Study, review and manage occupational injury/illness workplace incidents and recommends corrective actions. Manage the Community Health Program. Formulate strategy for the identification, control, prevention and elimination of communicable diseases. Manage Public Health aspect of the base immunization program. Review, implement and execute policy and guidance for immunization requirements. Manage the Vector borne Disease Surveillance Program. Develop, manage, and execute the base Food Safety and Vulnerability Program and the Facility Sanitation Program. Review, monitor and manage the Defense Logistics Agency All Food and Drug Act hazardous food program. Manage the Aircraft Quarantine Inspection Program and the Medical Intelligence Program. Manage and track deployment activity with the PIMR ASIMS Deployment Tracking Application database. Manage Public Health and Prevention aspect of Base Disaster Preparation and Response Process. Provide input for the Public Health portion of Host Tenant Support Agreement and coordinate with Logistics/Plans office. Manage the educational training portion of the OSHA mandated "Right To Know Law" and the Hazard Communication program. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience which provided a basic knowledge of principles and practices related to the health care delivery system.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 18 months experience which provided a working knowledge of missions, organizations, programs and requirements of health care delivery systems. Experience analyzing and recommending solutions to complicated problems. Experience developing and implementing various policies and procedures used in the state medical programs. Experience involving various administrative areas such as budget, personnel and public relations within a medical activity.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
