This position will be assigned to the 502 FSS Resource Management Flight at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio TX.
This is a regular full time position with guaranteed 40 hours per work week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Oversee the Logistic and Maintenance Department which consist of Logistic Management Specialist, Maintenance Workers (Motor Vehicle Operator), and Supply Clerk. This position will be the subject matter expert for the recording and disposal of property and equipment for the Joint Base San Antonio Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Fund (MWRF), Lodging Fund, and Appropriated Fund Motor Vehicle Fleets. This position will be responsible for reconciling the fixed assets in transit balance sheet accounts for JBSA MWR Fund and Lodging Fund. Oversee that the 502 FSS warehouses are ensures safety inspections are current, to include facility, fire extinguisher, preventive maintenance, OSHA, and other inspections are maintained and documented. Work directly with the 502 FSS Key Leaders to make sure property is properly recorded, vehicles are properly inspected and maintained, and property is disposed of timely. Work directly with the 502 FSS Senior leadership to make sure maintenance work is done in accordance with the 502 FSS Director direction. Provide various reports and analysis to senior leader. Plans work assignments IAW methods and policies set by higher-level supervisors. Tracks and reports progress on work assignments, and request authority to use overtime, if needed. Coordinates work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors. Determines number and type of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Redirects individual workers to accomplish unanticipated work. Provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. Oversees work progress to meet scheduled deadlines. Maintains bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels. Recommends solutions to staffing problems, work operations, etc., as appropriate to other supervisors. Supports and explains management programs to subordinates. Plans, establishes and schedules leave; sets performance standards; selects the most suitable applicants for vacancies, determines performance ratings and training need; and prepares and recommends disciplinary actions. Advises and counsels workers on how to improve their performance and explains new work techniques. Investigates grievances and complaints; resolves them informally, notifying supervisors of those of sufficient importance or seriousness.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain U.S. Air Force Motor Vehicle Operator License.
- This is a drug tested designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing of drug use.
- This position requires the incumbent to have a valid driver's license.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which provided knowledge of Property Management procedures, policies, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower pay level. Requires experience with government supply systems, policies, and guidelines.

4. Knowledge of Air Force Regulations, Logistics systems, distinguish between NAF and APF property and required processes, supervisory duties and requirements.
