THIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA). This position is part of the AZ JFHQ ARMY, Arizona National Guard under Position Description Number PDT5310000 .

Duties

This position is located at the G1 in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of the position is to plan, coordinate, implement, execute, and manage the events associated with the DoD Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program, and specifically the After Deployment, Adaptive Parenting Training (ADAPT) for National Guard Members and their families. The events are designed to provide a program integration (internal and external) ensuring there is sufficient information on benefits, services, and referral programs available to National Guard members and their families through all phases of the deployment cycle.

Requirements

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer Program.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
  • Irregular (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. (cont.)
  • This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
  • Incumbent must complete ADAPT 14-week certification or ADAPT Lite training, PPP, or similar evidenced parenting training instructor certification within one year of appointment.
  • Incumbent must obtain a Secret Security Clearance within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months of experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.

Education

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
