About the Position: Manages receipt, tasking, tracking, and closure of all incoming Operations Orders (OPORDs), Task Orders (TASKORDs), Execute Orders (EXORDs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), US Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the Combined Arms Center (CAC) and the Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE).
Duties
Serves as an advisor to the DCSOPS Director, Chief of Operations, and the Chief of Staff on operational and administrative matters relating to the accomplishment, coordination, and disposition of a variety of substantive staff actions and assignments
Serves as a Staff Action Officer and is responsible for the oversight of a variety of actions which are characterized by unique requirements and provides administrative coordination for staff actions and correspondence.
Monitors priority of actions based on the sensitivity of the subject matter, suspense dates and other pertinent data.
Responds to those actions which require general, rather than technical knowledge of programs, actions and functions.
Carries out high priority assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Chief of Staff, DCSOPS Director, and the Chief of Operations on a wide variety of sensitive and operational matters.
Writes Warning Orders (WARNORDs), Operation Orders (OPORDs), Tasking Orders (TASKORDs), Execute Orders (EXORDs), and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs), as needed.
Creates and briefs the monthly DLIFLC Net-centric Unit Status Report (NetUSR) to the Commander DLIFLC.
Creates a daily Executive Summary (EXSUM) and briefs the DLIFLC Chief of Staff.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Secret Security Clearance is a condition of continued employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) demonstrating knowledge of military organizations, command structure, missions, functions and organizational relationships 2) preparing and publishing operations orders 3) tasking requirements for recurring events 4) proficient with automated databases and Microsoft Office programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
