These positions are located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Dallas Region, of the FDIC and provide support in the areas of examinations, investigations, and other activities relating to consumer protection, fair lending and civil rights laws and regulations. One position is in the Dallas Field Office and one position is in the Houston Field Office.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify for CG-13: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience as a Commissioned Compliance Examiner at the FDIC or another organization with comparable commissioning criteria performing Compliance or Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examinations of insured depository institutions.
To qualify for CG-14: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience as a Commissioned Compliance Examiner at the FDIC or another organization with comparable commissioning criteria conducting or directing examinations of insured depository institutions relating to consumer protection laws and regulations, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other related enforcement responsibilities involving highly sensitive or complex issues.
The incumbent must possess a compliance commission as an FDIC examiner or similar financial regulatory agency commission.
