About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Strategic Integration Division (SID) for the Defense Forensics and Biometrics Agency (DFBA) reporting directly to the Director, DFBA. Responsible for integrating the activities of the DFBA and for interfacing with higher-level entities to achieve overall goals and objectives necessary to accomplish DFBA's mission.

Duties

Plans, provides guidance, and supervises work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Conducts mid-range and long-range planning meetings to assess and establish the long-term goals of the identity activity programs. Develops a reporting and evaluation system and advises the Director, DFBA of program effectiveness, ensuring that the agency is working to achieve the approved goals and objectives. Maintains awareness of latest technological discoveries, developments, and projects by conducting close liaison at highest technological levels with officials of industry, research foundations, government institutes, and educational institutions Provide periodic project management reviews with appropriate representatives from various staff agencies.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
