You will serve as an Installation Energy Manager in the FACILIITES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will implement and manage a building energy monitor program to augment energy conservation efforts.
You will collaborate with multiple organizations to promote energy awareness.
You will develop and brief presentations to communicate goals, policies, recommendations, or initiatives.
You will coordinate and lead events or meetings to support the energy program.
You will perform or oversee facility audits to identify opportunities to reduce energy and water consumption.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of the Certified Energy Management (CEM) training is highly desirable but not required.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Providing program management and advice to the organization concerning energy and water conservation programs; 2) Applying analytical evaluation methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Energy program operations; 3) Utilizing knowledge of energy mandates, programs, and processes to develop energy and water conservation programs and to conduct related training to installation personnel.
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Reviewing and analyzing utility consumption data to detect anomalies and trends; 2) Collecting and recording energy data to support metrics and/or measurement and verification; 3) Developing materials for use in Energy Awareness campaigns; and 4) Researching and preparing recommendations for investment in new and emerging energy technologies.

Education
