Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, New York Field Office, located in New York, NY.

Duties

Joining the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) will allow you to use your expertise in analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities in compiling data into intelligence reports in support of law enforcement programs and operations of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position starts at a salary of $115,118.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $149,651.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $149,651 (GS-13 Step 10). In this Enforcement Analysis position you will become a key team member of the Department of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include: Applying a full range of analytical knowledge, skills, and abilities in compiling data into intelligence reports in support of law enforcement programs and operations Employing analytical tools including computerized graphics and spreadsheets in the development of reports Developing and preparing finished intelligence reports and a variety of other written communications necessary for CBP and Office of Field Operations intelligence operations Performs a wide range of functions at varying levels of difficulty and complexity to include intelligence collection management, creation of target folders, threat assessments and other in-depth studies

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Researching, reviewing, analyzing, or disseminating sensitive national security data or information Preparing reports from information that identifies tactical intelligence regarding possible terrorism trends or suspected activities Reviewing and recommending local policies and procedures to effectively collect and disseminate terrorism related intelligence and information Evaluating, preparing, and presenting detailed reports to supervisors, and making recommendations on program improvements and future operations NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
