This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Assistant Commandant for Human Resources/SADI (CG-1), Director of Health & Safety (CG-11), Family Services Division (CG-1112), Washington, DC.
Duties
You will be responsible for the integration, coordination, and oversight of CDS administrative operations in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards, and for ensuring that all Child Development Service (CDS) programs are following Coast Guard (CG) and local regulatory administrative policies, that all reporting, inspection, and suspense requirements for a comprehensive CDS program consisting of Child Development Centers, School Age program, Family Child Military Child Care In your Neighborhood, Child Care in Your Home Fee Assistance, and Emergency Back-Up care are met. Qualifications
To Qualify for GS 12: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS 11 in the Federal sector. Examples of specialized include: analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations; planning and implementing data bases for aspects of an operation; assisting with developing analytical and investigative techniques to perform a wide variety of studies; advising on the potential benefits/use of automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of work-life programs.
To Qualify for GS 13: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS 12 in the Federal sector. Examples of specialized include: developing long range plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of a child development program; planning, implementing and maintaining data bases for all aspects of operations required to process all source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence; identifying intelligence gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps; analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations; researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
