You will serve as a DIRECTOR OF FACTILITIES LOGISITICS MANAGEMENT of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Duties

You will develop policies, programs, and procedures for facilities and logistics functions including supply, transportation, construction, modernization of facilities, maintenance of equipment, space management, conferences and accountable property. You will prepare policy proposals and related instructions to improve the provision of support to the school; and develop or adopt new systems to improve the visibility and knowledge concerning existing programs. You will monitor the building maintenance program to ensure proper maintenance and necessary repairs are made in an acceptable and timely fashion. You will ensure all required building alteration, repair, and maintenance is performed on facilities and disseminates information to affected parties. You will oversee the NPS annual inventory, disposition and government excess and report the statement of accountability annually.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising personnel on facilities and logistics management and administration; 2) Reviewing work requests and inspection reports to ensure compliance with facilities and logistics policies and procedures; 3) Developing facilities and logistics plans to accomplish organization mission and objectives; 4) Developing corrective actions to facilities and logistics management issues.
