This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the National Ombudsman in Washington, D.C. The incumbent supports the day-to-day activities of the Ombudsman & the Deputy by performing a variety of confidential and sensitive duties to ensure compliance with all Federal administrative, procedural and regulatory practices.

Qualifications

GS-11: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: Assisting with planning and executing events and travel arrangements; and branding, and mass communication; and assisting with the development of informational materials for dissemination to the general public or specialized target groups; and assisting higher graded staff with analyzing program implications, policies, and regulations. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: Directing, planning, or advising with event planning, execution; and branding and mass communication; and developing informational materials for dissemination to the general public or specialized target groups; and analyzing complex program implications, policies, and regulations; and developing information materials and programs based on your analysis. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 09/13/2023.

Education

Education may be substituted for experience for this position at the GS-11 level only.

If you do not meet the specialized experience requirements, you may also qualify with education. You MUST submit transcripts (official or unofficial) with this application if you wish to qualify based on education.

GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Transcripts (official or unofficial must be submitted in support of this response. Combination of Experience and Education:
GS-11: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.5 full years of Ph.D. level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position. Transcripts (official or unofficial must be submitted in support of this response. If selected, official transcripts will be required.
