Duties
Provides financial information services and ensuring DLA financial management systems perform optimally to produce accurate, reliable, and timely financial information.
Works with stakeholders on enhancements of data models to reflect major changes in business requirements, business operations, and new datasets.
Designs, develops, synthesizes, and displays quantitative data using interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations. i.e. (Alteryx, Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA, JAVA, D3, PowerBI, QLIK, Tableau, etc.)
Responsible for continuously improving processes and data integrity, institutionalize innovative industry best practices and communicate lessons learned.
Provides data during annual audit reviews and determining valid data requirements to satisfy audits.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Financial Data Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to this position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cutoff/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience with SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems processes and data tables; extracts, evaluates, analyzes, or interprets data results by developing and/or using data analytics tools, models, methods and techniques.
Experience programming analytics tools such as ORACLE, SAS/SAS VIYA for data mining; transformation and analysis (other analytical/ database tools will be considered).
Experience with a robust data visualization platform (i.e. PowerBI, QLIK and TABLEU) to translate complex business needs, requirements and strategy, multiple data sets and other data points into conceptual, relevant, and straightforward dashboards, visual tools, reports, and analytical solutions ((other visualization/reporting tools will be considered).).
Designing criteria for studies and research, including data gathering, and applying quantitative and qualitative methods for purposes of analyzing and evaluating existing work methods and processes.
Using programming languages such as VBA, SAS, Python, R, SQL, JAVA, D3 (other languages will be considered).
Analyzing reports and data, including using information obtained from statistical data to create models and visualizations; devising strategies and methods that resolve problems and improve work policies.
