About the position: This position will be assigned to the Fitness Center at Hanscom AFB. The work schedule is Flexible. Hours are based on the needs of the facility and may include weekend and evening shifts. Incumbent may be scheduled 0-40 hours per week. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 45lbs and occasionally more.

Duties

The Fitness Center Recreation Aid works at the front desk of the facility greeting, directing and receiving payment from customers and visitors. Other duties include circulating the facility to ensure customer satisfaction and proper use of gym equipment. The position is also expected to perform minor repairs, adjustments and cleaning of equipment and the facility. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• The position requires the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical.
• The position requires shift work. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and special occasions.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
