About the position: This position will be assigned to the Patriot Golf Course, Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts. The work schedule is Flexible. Incumbent may be scheduled 0 to 40 hours per week.

Duties

On a regular/recurring basis, leads the work of Recreation Aids and other Recreation Assistants assigned to the Patriot Golf Course. Ensures the efficient operation of the Golf Pro Shop. Organizes weekly golf shop schedules; prepares daily paperwork in a timely manner. Engages with customers with regard to golf course rules, polices and equipment. Ensures tee time roster is properly maintained. Displays, promotes, sells and safeguards all merchandise and equipment. Takes special orders and requests from customers. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on weekends, holidays, and special occasions.

Qualifying Experience: Applicants must have related golf experience; working knowledge of the game of golf. Knowledge of golf programs, procedures, rule and equipment is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft office is preferred. Works uncommon tour of duty to include weekends and holidays.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
