You will serve as a GG-0501-11 Financial Management Analyst for the Naval Information Force Reserve at COMNAVINTRESCOM in Fort Worth, TX, where you will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration under the supervision of the N4 Supply Officer.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests and control/report obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

• This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
• Some travel might be required.
• This is a Financial Management Level I Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed time lines.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: 1. Formulate budgets and estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, and control/report obligations and expenditures to support plans, programs, and activities. 2. Present and defend budget estimates before authorities. 3. Analyze the organization's programs and administrative operations to recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management. 4. Provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. OR I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR I have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR I have obtained an LL.M. that is related to the position being filled.
