This position is located in the Field Office Directorate, Office of Field Operations, Investor Program Office (IPO).
As an Business Interface Representative, you will oversee and deliver interconnected software applications, database development, and serve as a mediator, liaison, and facilitator to users for the making of resource decisions and prioritization for data integrity and infrastructure development projects.
Duties
Provide business process requirements, prioritization of IT development increments, and serve as an active member of the product owner team.
Formulate projects to assess program effectiveness; analyze and resolve a variety of program issues and inadequacies in system workflows, data integrity, business user experience processes, and timelines to support IPO functions and processes.
Actively participate in meetings, conferences, and presentations involving systems and programs of significant impact to provide subject matter expertise on system goals, objectives, project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain communication across IPO Divisions, the Office of Information Technology, and other USCIS stakeholders in the field to align systems to support new business processes and changes in user requirements or legislation.
Research and evaluate new technology to improve the efficiency, advancement, and productivity of mission-critical processes.
Provide technical training to technological integration and implementation to ensure user proficiency and product improvement.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/15/2023.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/15/2023.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Coordinating information systems project management amongst internal and external resources within an organization.
Applying technological business representation methods to the development of emerging data systems and implementing solutions that protect the integrity of data for large-scale organizations.
Reviewing program or organizational effectiveness by conducting analysis and providing recommendations to ensure production data accuracy.
