Duties
You will serve as the Supervisory Engineering Technician for United States Army Garrison-Hawaii (USAG- Hawaii) Hawaii Infrastructure Task Force (HITF).
You will review scopes and estimates submitted by contractors for engineering feasibility, compliance with policies, and reasonableness of cost, ensuring that statutory limits are not exceeded.
You will prepare and review Military construction programs (i.e., MILCON, UMMCA, RM and Sustainment repair projects) to ensure conformity with the Installation Master Plan and Capital Investment Strategy implementation.
You will establish near/short term and long-range engineering and project objectives applicable to maintenance, repair and improvement to real property and infrastructure, as well as Utility Systems.
You will implement and advise on policy for the development of comprehensive plans for current and future installation projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.
- Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of CAD is desired.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing surveying and survey data utilization in (Computer Aided Design & Drafting) CADD, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) automated drafting/design tools; demonstrate expertise on the technical aspect of multiple surveying and mapping contracts; and applying engineering principles and concepts to a variety of engineering studies and designs that require the use of CADD/BIM/GIS for their accomplishment.
