This position serves as a Maintenance Mechanic for the Pawnee Indian Health Center. The incumbent will perform work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related fixtures and utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices such as HVAC/R, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and general equipment repair. This position reports to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor.
Duties
Perform preventative maintenance to the Pawnee Indian Health Center facility, clinic grounds, parking area, walkway and driveway.
Operate and maintain various HVAC equipment and controls including, but not limited to, air handling units, circulating pumps, water treatment systems, temperature sensors, and damper motors.
Read and understand electrical symbols, commonly used for blueprints, installation drawings and diagrams, power installations, circuit tracing, schematics diagram, conductor identification, and control layout panels, and various architectural drawings.
Diagnose and repair various malfunctions in plumbing systems.
Prepare paint and surfaces for painting, patch holes, paint buildings, structures, furniture, clean and maintain painting equipment.
Organize work assignments, respond to critical and emergency repairs.
