This position serves as the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor for the Pawnee Indian Health Center located in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The purpose of this position is to provide a highly skilled and qualified, technical working supervisor to direct the technical and administrative aspects of the maintenance and repair program at the Pawnee Indian Health Center. Incumbent reports to the Facility Manager.
Duties
Provide full assistance to the Facility Manager and manage the maintenance and repair program in the absence of the Facility Manager.
Provide technical supervision to subordinates in the areas of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical plant operations, interpretation of codes, regulations specifications and contracts. Establish performance elements and evaluates the work of subordinates.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate the work operations. Solve problems related to the work being supervised. Plan the use of workers, equipment, materials, and tools on a day-to-day or project-by-project basis needed to complete work operations.
Maintain a preventive maintenance system for time and cost accounting necessary to evaluate performance of craftsmen, maintenance expenses on critical pieces of equipment, replacement date of equipment as they relate to downtime, and craft requirements based on workload.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical effort is expended in continually standing, walking, and stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in small or cramped quarters. Frequently carries, lifts, pulls, or pushes parts and equipment, weighing up to and at times beyond fifty (50) pounds. Work is sometimes performed on ladders and/or scaffolding which requires incumbent to work overhead or in stretched, cramped or awkward position.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside in all kinds of weather and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent may perform work and is usually dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent may perform work where bad smelling fumes are present. Incumbent has frequent exposure to possibility of scrapes, burns, various chemicals and injuries.
