You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of NAS JRB FT WORTH.
Duties
You will review informational material (e.g., press releases, fact sheets, speeches, responses to public inquiry, pamphlets, magazine articles) prior to public releases to ensure accuracy, security propriety, and policy guidelines are met.
You will arrange for agency representatives to speak at local cultural, educational, fraternal, civic, and service groups.
You will coordinate the design, composition, and printing of brochures, pamphlets, or fact sheets of science and engineering research accomplishments used as background material for media representatives or for public distribution.
You will respond to requests from the media, general public and others to provide information regarding programs and activities.
You will develop and prepare speeches for the Commander or other command representatives
You will plan and execute web-based communication content delivery to support outreach activities
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Providing public affairs support in communications, protocols, social media, and photography; 2) Developing, maintaining and releasing informational materials, news release, and internal publications; and 3) Participating in community functions and civic events.
