You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST in the AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS DIVISION of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD.
Duties
You will serve as Branch Head in the Operational Control ATC Systems Branch of the Air Traffic
Control and Landing Systems Division.
You will encompass a wide range of state-of-the-art developmental and operational ATC/LS that are essential to the missions of US Naval forces, US Marine Corps, the US Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration and Foreign Military Sales customers.
You will cover the entire defense system life cycle, including concept definition, design, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, logistics support, software support, and product improvement.
You will be assigned projects that require the incumbent to plan, direct and integrate the supporting efforts of a large staff of civil service personnel, supplemented by an even larger community of technical support service contractors and vendors.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9/10/11/12 grade level or pay band (NM-3) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing engineering analysis, acquisition, systems integration, and project management to support the design, development, integration, installation and modernization of shipboard, airborne, and shore based platforms (i.e., Tactical Systems), and related electronic systems and equipment; 2) Providing expert technical direction and team leadership of engineers, technicians, IT professionals, and business support; 3) Working collaboratively with sponsors and other program management authorities to develop solutions for war fighting requirements; 4) Managing priorities and developing tactical resource plans to facilitate project execution; 5) Providing full range of combined technical and administrative direction to subordinates and other professionals; 6) Developing subordinates (i.e., providing opportunities to develop technical and program management experience) through internal and external rotations.

Education
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
