You will serve as a Informationa Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Ship and Air Integrated Warfare Division, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD.
Duties
You will serve as an expert technical advisor to the head of the Cyber Test and Evaluation Branch for Cyber Test and Evaluation matters.
You will provide input as the technical advisor to the teams/contractors for technical determination of system performance and operational suitability for fleet implementation.
You will develop and provide formal technical training on relevant material to other test engineers.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
2. I have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DS-05) or grade level (GS-12/13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Providing expert guidance and program/project management for technical and operational functions to include high quality engineering/technical support in developing solutions; 2) Providing expert technical direction and team leadership of engineers, technicians, IT professionals, and business support; 3) Assisting customers in responding to any inquiries received from higher review authorities regarding cyber security related elements of submitted documentation; 3) Developing and coordinating test plans focused on cyber security requirements for evaluation technologies, 4) Providing full range of combined technical and administrative direction to subordinates and other professionals, and 5) Reporting on progress to all stakeholder's, while ensuring closeout installation efforts are complete.
