You will serve as a Administrative Officer in the Production Resources Department, Production Workforce Division, Administrative Office of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will work closely with the Production Resources Officer and the Operations Officer in daily informal discussions and conferences reviewing departmental operations. You will conduct or direct special studies leading to the improvement of management procedures in a wide variety of methods and systems. You will be responsible for the development and promulgation of general administrative procedures and the proper coordination of support. You will implement management studies leading to determination of propriety of existing conditions and modifications to existing procedures or practices. You will implement management studies leading to development and implement of new procedures and development of new management or operations concepts. You will direct the fiscal program of Production Resources and Operations Departments in it's development of budgets and administration of funds.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and directing administrative support functions, interpreting administrative policies and procedures, applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations within an administrative division.
