This position is located in The Chief Information Office (CIO) manages the Information Resources environment for the Forest Service. The incumbent performs high-level administrative and executive support, guidance, direction, problem solving, and cultivates internal and external customer partnerships. Duties

Researches, understands, and applies a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies to detect, assess, and improve effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Performs liaison duties between Human Resources Management and Workforce management. Coordinates with leadership, unions, supervisors, and support staff by preparing meeting logistics, agendas, materials, and tracking decisions made by board members. Defines and communicates program concerns under review, as well as deadlines and completion dates.

Requirements

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-12: Applicants must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as meeting three or more of the following: performing liaison duties for the unit; and/or facilitating, coordinating, and helping to develop and maintain materials, requests, and other requirements; and/or advising management on legal and regulatory requirements or entitlements concerning labor management relations; and/or investigating and solving problems that have been passed on by leadership team. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
