Duties

Provide operational Antiterrorism (AT) and Physical Security (PHYSEC) support to Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) field organizations Serve as the primary AT/Physical Security Officer to Regional and Contract management (CMO) Commanders / Directors Develop AT / Physical Security programs for assigned organizations, conduct assessment to ensure compliance with applicable policies and make recommendations on the fielding of AT and PHYSEC countermeasures Write comprehensive AT/Physical Security related reports, statements of work and AT/Physical Security plans and procedures Liaison with host installation and other federal government law enforcement, intelligence and security organizations to coordinate and facilitate an appropriate security posture at DCMA activities Provide advice in management of a facility guard force Act as the Contracting Officer's Representative for security-related purchases and services

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service

Qualifications

To qualify for the Physical Security Specialist NH-03 level, your resume must reflect specialized experience at the NH-02/GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:- Interpreting applicable legislation/DoD policies establishing Agency-level policies, training and tools. - Planning and executing effective operational and tactical security assistance/assessment programs. - Authoring Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements and overseeing acquisition of goods and services for the security mission; in particular supporting a corporate security environment. - Overseeing quality in performance-based contracts - Assessing physical security, crime prevention, and antiterrorism requirements for facilities ensuring compliance with Executive Branch, DoD, and Agency policy requirements. - Developing a security education and training program and delivering engaging training presentations - Communicating with senior leadership at the Executive Level - Supporting a professional certification and credentialing program and obtaining the DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), DoD Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC), DoD Physical Security Certification (PSC), and/or the DoD Antiterrorism Credential (AtC)

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
