About the Position: This position is with US Army AMCOM TMDE located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Responsible for instructing the operation and calibration of a wide range of electronic test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)that requires specialized experience in Microwave, Radiation Detection, Indication, and Computation (RADIAC), optical, direct current/low frequency, physical, and geometric tolerance principles, techniques, and methodology.
Duties
Investigate and operate electronic test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
Develop, collect, analyze, and evaluate technical calibration data to develop decisions and recommendations.
Review and evaluate automated and manual calibration procedures.
Operating and calibrating of a wide range of electronic test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
Provide advanced technical principles, techniques, and methodologies used in the calibration and repair of TMDE in a small group environment, consisting of both hands-on and instructor-led training for up to 8 students in a small group environment.
Develop course content based on defined course objectives while providing adequate, accurate, and reliable course material.
Effectively review and evaluate automated and manual calibration procedures and provide input to engineers and management regarding the validity of the calibration procedures verses the calibration requirements.
Evaluate comments received from the field to determine validity of comments and required disposition while answering a wide variety of technical inquiries related to the equipment capability, applications, operation, and set-up procedures.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes operate and calibrate electronic test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment such as: direct current/low frequency, Microwave, Physical Dimensional, Optical/ Infra-red, and Radiation Detection, Indication, and Computation (Radiac); Determine calibration requirements to develop calibration procedures; Apply advanced technical principles, techniques, and methodologies in the calibration and repair of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); Develop training content and deliver training.
