Duties

The selectee will serve as a Human Resource Specialist (Classification) in the Office of Human Resources, Administrative, Professional and Technical (APT) Talent Management Division (ATM). Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting base salary $112,015) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as: developing position descriptions for a variety of job series and grade levels; advising management in establishing efficient and cost effective organizational structures; effectively communicating the factors that impact the classification of federal positions; and possessing a sound understanding of the classification process. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
