About the Position: Serves as Coordinating Administrative Officer for the Assistant Provost for Academic Support Directorate (APAS) at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC).
Position has promotion potential to a target grade of GS-11.
Duties
Prepares input to the Assistant Provost regarding SOPs/directives for office operations. Advises operating personnel on reporting requirements, i.e., information to include, formats, due dates, etc.
Establishes, maintains, and disposes of files and records in accordance with the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS).
Ensures all faculty and staff are enrolled in the Army Training Resource Requirements System (ATRRS) and Army Learning Management System (ALMS).
Maintains a Government Purchase Card (GPC). Purchases supplies and services with accuracy from authorized vendors.
Check or verify with the Property Book Officer to determine accurate records in the property control systems.
Serves as the Key Control Officer for the Presidio of Monterey (POM).
Serves as the Facilities and Space Manager for the Provost organizations.
Serves as the Safety Officer for DLIFLC Provost's Organizations.
Serves as the Provost's Anti-Terrorism (ATO), OPSEC Officer and Lead Emergency Operations Specialist.
Serves as the PBO (Property Book Officer).

In order to qualify, you must meet the educational or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) establishing, maintaining, and disposing of files and records; 2) purchasing supplies and services with accuracy from authorized vendors; 3) verifying training and maintain training databases; 4) monitoring training progress and reports problems and potential problems through appropriate channels for resolution; 5) controlling, ordering, and accounting for all keys required to promote the security of the installation; 6) managing the allocation of space, offices, equipment and maintenance coordinating with various activities and tenants.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
