Duties

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods to provide advice and insight about the potential effects of various courses of action. Your work will have a direct impact on shaping USSF strategies and policies in the ever-evolving domain of space operations.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
• This position is Acquisition Category Business Cost Estimating Level 2 and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
• This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this program.
• Employee must be able to acquire and retain a Top-Secret clearance.
• Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
• This position is eligible for situational telework, 2-4 days per pay period.
• PCS and incentive funding is available.

Education

College degree in operations research or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics with at least 3 of the 24 semester hours in calculus, is required.
