You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will lead public communication and outreach activities for the command to ensure theater-wide communication and synchronization.
You will manage internal and external communication strategies for command programs.
You will produce communication materials for internal and external audiences for strategic level communication plans, news releases, and social media input.
You will research and formulate policies regarding public affairs and outreach activities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Planning, developing, coordinating, and executing internal and external communications strategies and programs; 2) Advising on public affairs communication and outreach policy guidance to ensure communication synchronization across organizations; 3) Formulating and recommending policies, programs, and procedures governing public affairs and outreach activities; 4) Resolving issues related to communications, including but not limited to strategy development and communications planning, organizational change, organizational culture, private sector engagement, Congressional activities, public speaking, and professional writing; 5) Leading or supervising exercises, current and media operations, community outreach, and digital production; and 6) Managing personnel support functions, manpower requirements, budgeting and resourcing, and daily operations.
