As a/an Senior Advisor Housing and Sustainability, you will:
- Develop, manage, and oversee matters covered by the Office.
- Collect input from and provide guidance and advice to HUD Headquarters and Field Office staff, senior management, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide programmatic and technical leadership, including overseeing analysis, support, design and development of procedures and policies to oversee and implement various Multifamily mortgage insurance and rental assistance programs.
- Serve as senior advisor and authoritative source on finance and policy issues relating to market rate and affordable multifamily housing, on strategies, programs, initiatives, funding sources and incentives, and technical resources to promote efficient, healthy, and climate resilient housing.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Developing and implementing programs, initiatives, and industry best practices in the finance, construction, rehabilitation, and operation of sustainable multifamily housing; AND
- Developing proposals to bring about legislative, regulatory, programmatic or administrative policy and procedure changes; AND
- Consulting with and providing technical assistance to a variety of stakeholders, such as housing providers, program officials, residents, citizen groups, and Federal, state or local government officials on housing and sustainability issues; AND
- Coordinating and supporting a variety of market rate and assisted multifamily housing functions, such as finance, development, and asset management; preservation of affordable housing; and risk management and compliance; AND
- Keeping current and analyzing building standards, green building certification programs, and efficiency incentives and requirements, as they apply to multifamily housing.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
