You will serve as a CITIZENSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER for the NJROTC DISTRICT of the NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties
You will as an Area Manager be responsible for oversight for NJROTC units, to include Navy National Defense Cadet Corps units, and be accountable for establishing/communicating NJROTC program goals and unit metrics for assigned NJROTC units.
You will make day-to-day decisions on prioritization of unit support funds/budgets and resources in assigned area, and be responsible for multiple units to inlcude instructors and cadets.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of NJROTC units via analysis of interrelated issues including fiscal accountability, logistics accountability, evaluation of
safety and physical security issues and weighing of mitigating circumstances.
You will inspect, review, and assess the use of the NJROTC standardized curriculum and verify compliance in meeting federal/state secondary institution education requirements.
You will conduct on site visits, inspections, and off site reviews of NJROTC area units to confirm program compliance.
You will investigate reported issues concerning unit performance and advise headquarters on developments, media interest and public affairs, and work to resolve issues to ensure continued NJROTC program compliance.
You will coordinate issues with school administrations including school boards, superintendents, principals, and/or other administration officials requesting unit establishments, continuation, disestablishments, and conversions of programs.
You will schedule, coordinate, and conduct annual instructor In-Service training to ensure instructors receive current program information and are aware of changes in policy and guidance.

- Extensive travel is required to visit NJROTC units located at secondary level schools. Due to travel requirements, the work hours may require variations requiring incumbent to work earlier or later than a normal work day and may work some weekends.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advises personnel on program, policies and procedures; 2) Develops and Implements plans and programs in accordance to mission and objectives of organization; 3) Develops solutions to program issues: 4) Provides oversight, administers implementation, and assesses compliance of assigned operations and administration; 5) Provides input, guidance, information, direction on, and approval of program goals; and 6) Aids in coordinating and conducting various training and events.
