The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) expands the provision of patient care beyond institutional settings, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital, by utilizing innovative telecommunication technologies to enhance care coordination and to proactively manage chronic pain to prevent healthcare crises.
Duties
Major duties, include but are not limited to the following:
Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant to the Facility Telehealth Coordinator, My Health Vet Coordinator, and other staff of the Telehealth Program.
Will serve as a point of contact for patients, medical center staff, VISN staff, community agencies, and various others who contact this office.
Will be responsible for collecting, compiling and/or tracking statistical information in support of program operations and to access status or outcomes in relation to established performance measures, goals, and objectives; receives and processes documents and reports in accordance with established procedures; uses software applications to draw information from a wide variety of sources in order to prepare reports; and assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program studies.
Implements nationally standardized protocols for incoming data, organizes and maintains patient data and retrieves a variety of computerized data.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. 8:00am-4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Knowledge of and thorough familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential. Working knowledge of CPRS to access clinic data for management and tracking, especially the patient registry and clinic scheduling portions. Knowledge of personal computers and management information systems is necessary and also utilize various PC applications. A qualified typist is required. (This experience must be well documented in your resume).
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
