About the Position: The person in this position will perform a variety of administrative and support type duties in such areas as personnel management, technical reporting, timekeeping, security, travel, training, procurement, and files management.
Duties
Serve as the main point of contact for publications, forms management, and records management.
Manage time-keeping for office personnel.
Receive and control incoming correspondence, publications, and regulations.
Initiate, prepare, and complete purchase orders in coordination with the work area.
Establish internal programs and controls to assure compliance with appropriate Joint Commission regulatory requirements.
Advise personnel on procedures for preparing and processing a wide variety of personnel actions.
Provide accurate analysis, statistical ability, and review of patients? records.
Use office automation to accomplish clerical, statistical, and data entry tasks.
Develop and implement new systems or administrative processes.
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support duties; utilizing office automation systems to accomplish clerical, statistical, and/or data entry tasks; and providing clerical support such as receiving telephone calls and visitors and/or arranging meetings or conferences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
