The incumbent serves as a Logistics Management Specialist (Item Manager) in the Logistics Center's Distribution Group.

Duties

Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist performing a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within a defined area of responsibility. Acts as a member of a team for resolving inventory control problems that impact the valuation of the Logistics Center inventory. Performance of assigned duties will reduce unnecessary charges to the customer.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required
  • One-year probationary period may be required

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-G (FG-10/11) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes experience with inventory control regulations and policies; plans for the acquisition and maintenance of inventory; experience recording and tracking inventory activity and needs; forecasting, monitoring, coordinating and control of assigned inventory items required for the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of the National Airspace System (NAS); experience with identifying and initiating alternate source of supply; compiles and analyzes information.ORPh.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university.ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
