About the Position: This position is located in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH). The medical services employ a workforce of approximately 1,480 military and civilian workers. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN. This position will provide administrative and logistical support for a medical faxility.
Duties
Generate reports dealing with various clinic level programs.
Maintain office files and perform record keeping.
Coordinate training for clinic staff and provide updates to regulations and procedures.
Utilize the computer to maintain and monitor patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice.
Monitor administrative and medical supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This is an inclement Weather Essential position: Incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
- This position may require the incumbent to work weekend call duties and evenings.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes retrieving data from electronic records; maintaining clinical personnel files; scheduling appointments; and utilizing automated systems to generate, maintain, and produce reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Business Management, or Health Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
