About the Position: The Management Analyst performs varied duties to assist management in the more technical and complex administrative work required for operation of the organization.
Fort Bragg is a culturally diverse area, co-located at Fayetteville, NC, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Participate in the planning and implementation of reorganizations, position classification surveys, new programs, etc.
Conducts associated coordination and consultation with appropriate offices and personnel.
Input data into automated systems and databases.
Maintains the General Schedule Administration (GSA) Vehicle Program for the directorate to ensure availability of vehicles to support operations.
Furnish information to applicable civilian policies and procedure for preparation of necessary personnel action forms.
Ensures correspondence is grammatically and procedurally correct.
Generate reports, statistics, and correspondence using a variety of commercial software.
Review time cards for accuracy before consulting supervisor or clerk to resolve discrepancies before final pay is processed.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves demonstrated practical knowledge in participate in briefings to recommend plans of action and programs for organization, maintains data and automated systems with accurate information, prepare reports and records for processing data within organization, and utilize computer programs and systems to maintain operations such as time keeping, personnel actions, and organizational programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
