This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Resolution Strategy Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and will serve as preeminent subject matter and technical expert in the area of franchise and asset marketing, and exercises responsibility for the analysis, marketing and sales activities related to the least cost resolution of failing financial institutions and/or for the subsequent sale of remaining loans and other assets. 

Duties

-Develops theories, practices, and methods for the least cost resolution of failing financial institutions, including evaluating, gathering and analyzing financial and other information concerning the institution, interaction with staff of various supervisory agencies, preparation of bid lists, and marketing the franchise to approved bidders. Participates in meetings and discussions on resolution approaches and techniques and appropriate software tools.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.  Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 14 level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is experience analyzing institution’s asset/liability to determine appropriate transaction structure, and compiling and analyzing financial institution’s operations and bank asset valuation data.
