This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for ACQ Demo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues.
Resolving system issues within the SAP Security/control area of SAP applications.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of SAP Landscape.
Drive process innovations and lifecycle improvements, escalates system degradation and unplanned outage events, and tracks progress on urgent change request (CR)
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- Position requires occasional Temporary Duty or Business Travel 15% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the competencies listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Serving as expert System Applications and Products (SAP) Security analyst and recognized authority responsible for SAP Security/Program area; 2) Developing, evaluating and/or designing system software configurations needed to support SAP applications and customized integration of business computer systems; 3) Coordinating with landscape architects to ensure adequate planning for an SAP system landscape that supports all phases of the deployment (i.e. development, testing, training, data load, and go-live; 4) Developing and/or delivering informational briefs through various reporting mechanisms such as scorecards, schedules, and workshops to convey project readiness, risk situation, and work effort progress to customers, leaders, and partners; and 5) Supporting system migration coordination and status reporting, tracking regular maintenance activities, orchestrating annual system outages, and maintaining operational tempo and awareness of program priorities and deliverables .
This position may be subject to organizational compensation limits as identified in the organization's CCAS business rules or separate compensation management strategy. This position is subject to the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Journey Professional control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy. This non-supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-13, step 5 base salary.
