This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, serving as a Program Management Officer and a Deputy to the Executive for Legislative Archives, Presidential Libraries, and Museum Services (L). The incumbent directs work and provides support to the Executives and components within the organization to include coordinating and developing L activities and work, instilling NARA values and ensuring collaboration and communication between components of L and other offices.
Duties
As a PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICER, you will:
Independently carry out day-to-day operations using a variety of coordinating, planning, and leadership techniques to assure that the work of the program and/or administrative staff and L is successfully accomplished.
Ensure a high-level of communication within L and supports communication activities with component heads, managers, supervisors, administrative staff, program staff, and stakeholders.
Be responsible for budget formulation and execution oversight for the L office. Ensure development and management of budgets for all applicable operating funds.
Collaborate with other NARA offices to develop internal operating procedures for support, administrative, and/or program functions that cross organizational lines and include L components.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Coordinating with executive level staff to make recommendations and implement solutions
AND
Providing strategic leadership; overall planning, directing, coordinating long range plans and daily operations
AND
Leading a team or project; to include gaining cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F):
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.
