YOU WILL SERVE AS AN INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST IN THE MRO LOGISTICS GROUP, MRO INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY DEPARTMENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will acquire, maintain, control, store, replace, issue, inventory, dispose, reconcile, receipt, disposition, validate reported data, compare previous information, review contract data, and review financials for various types of material. You will perform a variety of continuing inventory management tasks requiring analytical, judgement, procedural, and technical skills. You will review, analyze and prepare corrective actions required to improve supply support, financial and budget accuracy. You will Perform Causative Research/in-depth investigations of specific physical inventory discrepancies/adjustments to determine why they occurred and the corrective action to prevent future discrepancies. You will monitor work in process to determine that material are on hand to sustain production schedules and also determines the need for process or material changes when deficiencies are revealed.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Must have comprehensive knowledge of inventory management, accountability of Navy owned assets, plant equipment, IMRL, aircraft, engines components, and kitting methods and procedures; 2) Knowledge and experience in Navy Logistical Systems; 3) Ability to apply a variety of methods to analyze, investigate, and implement corrective action as well as establish effective cost controls for conventional production problems that may occur; 4) Ability to communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers; 5) Knowledge of receipt, shipping and storage policies, practices and procedures; 6) Ability to adapt, interpret, and extend guidelines, analyze and evaluate original design concepts, develop training programs/ student guides, and have working knowledge of the principles of scheduling and cost effectiveness related to design inventory, manpower, material, facilities, and Internal Control Aids; 7) Access and/or Experience with JDRS--- Joint Deficiency Reporting System and WEBCAV - Web Based Commercial Asset Visibility. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

FOR GS-11:
Education must be related to the position being filled.

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
