About the Position: The person in this position will serve as the Scheduling Coordinator, Receptionist, Template Manager, Appointments Coordinator, and Managed Medical Care Consultant. The position will consists of performing a wide variety of administrative and data quality duties under leadership, in support of the medical staff of the unit. This position is located at DiLorenzo Health Clinic in Occupational Health.

Duties
Develop, and/or implement policies and procedures for front desk operations.
Resolve scheduling and appointment problems.
Initiate and/or perform various clerical, record keeping, and miscellaneous duties required for the proper and timely treatment and care of patients.
Run recurring and special reports within automated systems to provide quantitative data upon which to base operational decisions.
Maintain the clinic patient appointment schedule for physicians.
Prepare and/or coordinate all consultation and referral appointments to insure and facilitate proper patient care.
Oversee and follows up on tests ordered and patient referrals.
Prepare various reports via data entry and retrieval from a microcomputer.
Responsible for screening laboratory results, x-ray results and other clinical tests to insure that physicians are notified.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing medical and non-medical automated systems; scheduling appointments for patients and/or customers; resolving clinical problems in accordance with approved standard operating procedures; preparing reports; and maintaining patient records in accordance with regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Education
