This position is located at the Oklahoma City Area Office. The incumbent will serve as the Behavioral Health Program Director and Oklahoma City Area Behavioral Health Consultant and will provide clinical, preventative, curative and rehabilitative behavioral health to individuals, families and groups directly and through consultation and collaboration with others. Incumbent reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
Duties
Facilitates planning, development, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the Oklahoma City Area Behavioral Health program including substance abuse, mental health and social work services.
Provides technical assistance through consultative advice and recommendations to program leaders and clinical staff.
Actively engage in complex problem solving, professional learning, collaboration, conflict resolution and relationship building.
May provide mental health services to hospitals and clinics through Tele-health services.
Provides technical expertise, consultation and recommendations to the Governing Board, Senior Service Unit Leaders, Urban and Tribal Program Managers on issues and matters relating to Behavioral Health.
Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Ensuring care meets appropriate professional and accreditation standards; exercising overall supervisory responsibility; Coordinating and integrating multidisciplinary behavioral health services; Promoting training needs; Ensuring staff demonstrate knowledge of growth and development; Providing expert professional consultation; Managing and respond to congressional inquiries.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
