Duties
Oversee the development of and provide direction for new Kitting activities
Research various information sources to determine whether there is an existing kit or whether the kit is feasible before establishing a new kit.
Interface with a wide range of other EBS job roles such as Product Specialists, Packaging Specialists, Supply Planners, Demand Planners, Acquisition Specialists, Customer Account Specialists, and Weapon System Program Mangers (WSPMs)
Identify the need for kits based on Intel received from both the Customer and Customer Operations Personnel.
Provide a comparative analysis and a decision on whether the kit should be assembled organically or commercially to the customer, based upon the analysis of products (e.g. item characteristics, availability, etc.),
Conduct independent analysis and investigation of issues impacting the Kitting Process.
Coordinate and initiate the development of new/revised processes, procedures, and business rules with a wide range of other EBS jobs to include but not limited to BPAs and other representatives within the programs.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Kitting Strategic Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Describing the kitting process and detail how to execute all requirements of a kit to meet the customer's needs.
Researching various information sources to determine feasibility of the establishment of a new kit.
Interfacing with a wide range of other EBS job roles to include but not limited to Kitting Operation Specialists, Stock Positioning Specialists, and Demand and Supply Planners on the processing of new Kitting orders.
Providing guidance or training to internal and external DLA Customers as necessary.
