The employee will be assigned to the Rehabilitation and Extended Care Integrated Clinical Community, VA Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Duties

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
Maintains the daily calendar; schedules appointments; keeps calendar.
Receives and reviews incoming correspondence, and forwards as needed to appropriate staff.
Types, prepares, and reviews outgoing correspondence, minutes, policies, letters, reports, etc.; reviews correspondence ensuring proper grammar, spelling, format, accuracy, and completeness; and develops standard or form letters and replies to inquiries.
Records and transcribes meeting minutes; prepares agendas; and distributes minutes.
Assists in making necessary travel arrangements for various staff; maintains and orders adequate levels of forms, supplies, etc; and sets up a variety of conference calls.
Receives visitors and telephone calls to the office.
Sets up, maintains, and disposes of files within the office; maintains, researches, and revises records system; coordinates training schedules and classes; and serves as the records retention liaison.
Prepares authorizations and invoices; processes referrals; serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the service; and verifies and authorizes payment of bills for services.
Serves as timekeeper.
Preforms other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Qualifications
TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. In addition to meeting the experience and/or education requirements, you must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
PLUS
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-4 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: receiving visitors and telephone calls to the office; scheduling appointments; coordinating meetings and conferences; transcribing minutes and preparing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication; preparing travel authorizations; preform timekeeping duties and skill in the use of Microsoft Office software.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of (4) years of education above the high school level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial or technical school. IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates.
