You will serve as a Fuel Distribution System Worker in the Fuels Department, Operations Division of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will monitor bulk storage and pump house areas checking pressure gauges, inspecting for fuel leaks, and ensuring proper position of valves, tank gauges, and switches.
You will issue fuel from a fuel distribution facility work station to ships, tanks, refueling units, aircraft, and/or trucks.
You will use manual or automated means to read, record, and properly document information pertaining to fuel transfer operations.
You will operate gasoline or diesel powered tank trucks with a gross vehicle weight up to 32,000 pounds.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision
- You will be required to obtain a government operators permit.
- You will be required to possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class B, endorsement X)

An example of the screen out element is: I have the ability to perform the full range of Fuel Distribution System Worker tasks including operating an Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE); communicating orders to other workers; operating fuel distribution systems (FDS) by use of remote switches and valves, portable and stationary pumps, and accessory equipment to load, off-load, and transfer fuel and petroleum products between ships, barges, trucks, delivery equipment, and storage tanks; aligning pipelines, valves, and switches; monitoring levels and pressures during transfer; taking corrective actions; testing and adjusting alarms, switches, automatic cut-off valves, and automatic tanks transfer gauges; conducting fuel gauging; computing fuel quantity based on temperature formulas; determining water content in fuel; taking samples for testing; complying with laws and regulations for governing the receipt/issue of fuel; performing preventive and breakdown maintenance of FDS; operating forklifts. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
