This vacancy is for a Diversity Equity Inclusion Accessibility Manager in the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Commerce.

Duties

As a Diversity Equity Inclusion Accessibility Manager, you will perform the following duties: Develop department-wide strategies and approaches to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of DEIA programs across organizations and ensure successful implementation of associated programs across bureaus. Achieve consistency with the strategic goals of OPM's DEIA strategic plan. Provide strategic direction and consultative support to DOC bureaus as they comply with EO 14035, departmental DEIA strategies, policies and programs and/or seek to build additional bureau-specific offerings. Coordinate with Program Manager (Equity) to comply with EO 13985 including building relationships with Underserved Communities. Leverage data-driven DEIA strategies to include reviewing key strategic sources such as EEO MD-715, FEVS, FEORP, and other surveys to identify and close gaps in the employment cycle. Coordinate Department-wide submission of DEIA reports to OPM including FEORP. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Diversity Equity Inclusion Accessibility Manager GS-0301-13 GS-14 positions within the Office of the Secretary in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience. Qualifications

Qualification requirements in the vacancy announcements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook, which contains federal qualification standards. This handbook is available on the Office of Personnel Management's website located at: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/ Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-13 level:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing leadership in support of an agency and/or organization's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) program; Evaluating workforce planning and DEIA programs, policies, and impact as it relates to human capital management and strategic workforce development; Gathering, reviewing, and/or implementing metrics to measure DEIA performance.
